Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts

The first time we saw the trailer for this new Netflix show, we were wowed by all the bright colors. There are giant animals, good music and it happens in a post-apocalyptic world! We’re on board!

And after a few episodes in the series, we were surprised by how the story unfolded for one of the character. We’ll let you discover for yourself, but the fact that the subject is brought up in a fairly banal way, it gives us hope!

As you know, we love to play dungeons and dragons! Here is a podcast we discovered. It follows the adventures of three characters in an imaginary world like any good D&D world.

Now, here’s why we are so excited about this story, it’s how inclusive it is!
We are talking about a female rogue assassin who catches the eye of several other female characters. There’s also a couple of two newly married princes and their complicated love life when one of them goes on an adventure.

Their first campaign just ended, but they are already working on the second!

Also, if you are new to the world of Dungeons & Dragons, know that they have created special episodes to explain the basics of this wonderful game!

This series started a few years ago and the sixth and last season ends this year!

The story follows a wealthy family that finds itself penniless overnight .
They have to go live in a motel in a small country town that belongs to them.
They have to start from scratch and learn to live in a world where they are no longer the center of attention.

We quickly got attached to all these extraordinary characters who try to adapt as best they can to their new situation.

Again, the series is very inclusive. The character of David (played by co-creator Dan Levy) is openly pansexual. The actor himself has identified as gay since the age of 18!

The series has already won several awards, including a nomination for the 2020 GLAAD Award.

We are sad to say goodbye to them, but we’re also thankful to them for making our hearts vibrate during all these years!

Check out the show on Netflix and on CBC.
