PrideHacks 2018

On August 11, the second edition of PrideHacks took place in Montreal and I’m happy to say that I was part of it.

What is it?

PrideHacks is a hackathon dedicated to organizations working in the LGBTQ+ community. People from the tech scene assembles and the organizations presents them with their problems.
For a full day, these people join forces and develops solutions to those problem.

The event is organized by Queer Tech MTL.

What was my project?

I got to help out Gender Creative Kids Canada.

By offering information and opportunities for connection between parents and caregivers, educators, health and social service providers, researchers, activists, and children and youth across Canada, we hope to contribute towards transforming our world into a safe, affirming, and joyful place for all children.

The challenge of our project was to find a way to promote their services and to introduce one of their new educative tool.

I introduce you to Sam.

Although their crowdfunding campaign did not work, their project still came to life and will now be used in schools!

I am really happy with my experience and loved to have been able to contribute to this project.
I wish them all the success they deserve. Their vision is very close to ours at Will Raph Comics, because just like us, they want to show that no matter who you are on the inside, you deserve to be yourself and to be loved!
